The demand for great content is growing, and here in Scandinavia we just can’t get enough..

HBO Europe and Hanne Palmquist, commissioning editor and VP of original programming at HBO Nordic has just ordered an eight-part Norwegian TV show from Icelandic director Dagur Kári. The name of the show is Utmark (Wilderness), a comedy drama which is created and written by Finn Gjerdrum, Kim Fupz Aakeson and Stein Kvae at Paradox producing.

Utmark is set in a small Norwegian town and follows a new school teacher whose arrival causes upheaval in the community. Shooting is set to begin this summer in Norway. The show will premiere day-and-date across HBO Europe territories.

I’m looking forward to check out this show, and I wish Hanne, Dagur, Finn, Kim Fupz and Stein all the best of luck in creating yet another successful HBO show!
